Intellectual Property

All content published and made available on our website is the property of Golden Aura Cars and the creators of the website. This includes, but is not limited to, images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files, and any content that contributes to the composition of our website.

Age Restrictions

The minimum age to use our website is 18 years old. By using this website, you confirm that you are over 18 years old. We do not assume any legal responsibility for false statements about age.

Accounts

When you create an account on our website or mobile app, you agree to the following:

  • You are solely responsible for your account’s security and privacy, including any passwords or sensitive information.

  • All personal information you provide through your account is up-to-date, accurate, and truthful, and you will update it as needed.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you are using our website illegally or if you violate these Terms.

Services

These Terms govern the booking of our services, which are available on our website and passenger app. The following services are available:

Transport Service The services will be paid for in full. A pre-authorized payment will be taken when you book your journey. This is a pending charge and does not represent the final amount. Once your journey is complete, any additional charges will be added to your final payment. These may include airport drop-off and pick-up charges (car park fees), toll charges, ULEZ (if applicable), congestion charges, and any other fees related to your travel.

Using the Golden Aura Cars passenger app (the “App”), which can be downloaded on mobile devices, or our online web booker (the “Web Booker”), you can request, book, and pay for passenger transportation services (referred to as “Journeys,” “Trips,” and “Rides”).

When you submit a ride request using the App, we will process your request and may approve your booking (depending on your location and payment history) to identify and assign you a driver.

Golden Aura Cars provides the following services as part of the booking process:

  • Accepting and processing your bookings.

  • Locating a driver to fulfill your request.

  • Keeping track of bookings.

  • Remotely monitoring trips to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers, as well as the App’s proper operation.

  • Processing and managing complaints, questions, requests for lost and recovered goods, and feedback through our customer support team. We encourage any booking feedback to be submitted through the App or on our website, in compliance with relevant law and Reading Borough Council’s expectations.

Requested Vehicle We do our best to provide you with the vehicle you requested. However, depending on availability, you may sometimes be upgraded to a larger vehicle at no extra cost.

Driver Rights Drivers have the right to refuse service to any passenger if they feel that the passenger is a threat to their safety or the safety of the vehicle.

Child Seat We provide a free child seat if requested by the customer. While we do our best to provide a child seat, we cannot guarantee suitability and availability for every journey.

Luggage Our vehicles can accommodate one medium-sized suitcase (checked luggage) and one piece of hand luggage per person. A medium suitcase should not exceed 158cm (62 inches) in combined height and width, or a weight of 23kg (50lb). Hand luggage should be approximately 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (22 x 17.5 x 9.85 inches). Any luggage outside of these dimensions cannot be guaranteed to be accommodated and remains the sole responsibility of the passenger.

Communication It is very important to keep your phone switched on, as it is the primary method of communication for your pickup. If we are unable to contact you, you will still be charged for the journey fare. Always keep our office number handy while you are traveling.

No-Show and Waiting Time For our meet-and-greet service at the airport, we provide a maximum of 35 minutes of free waiting time from the time your flight lands, which is included in your booking price.

After this free waiting period, a standard fee of £5.00 will be applied every 15 minutes. For larger vehicles, the waiting fee is £10.00 every 15 minutes for minibuses and £15.00 every 15 minutes for coaches.

Golden Aura Cars will check for flight delays but will not be held liable for excessive time spent at immigration control. It is very important to provide your flight details when you book a pickup.

If our driver is unable to reach you within one hour of the flight’s arrival, the booking will be canceled, and no refund will be provided. In this scenario, you will be liable for 100% of the payment.

Payments We accept the following payment methods on our Site and app:

  • Credit and Debit Card

  • Credit for business account holders (weekly or monthly invoices)

When you provide us with your payment information, you authorize us to use and access your chosen payment method. By providing your information, you authorize us to charge the amount due. We reserve the right to cancel or reverse your transaction if we believe your payment has violated any law or these Terms.

Right to Cancel To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision within the cancellation period. To cancel, if you booked your ride online, contact us by email at info@goldenauracars.co.uk. If you used the passenger app to book, you can cancel your ride directly from the app.

Golden Aura Cars reserves the right to cancel a booking if a driver is unavailable or for any other reason. If this happens, we will email and, if necessary, call the passengers. It is your responsibility to check all emails for cancellations.

Effects of Cancellation If a booking is canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, a cancellation fee will be applied.

  • Less than 24 hours of the pick-up time: 100% of the journey price.

A refund for the booking is not applicable if the passenger is uncontactable at the time of pickup. No refund will be made if the driver has already been dispatched or is en route for pickup.

Fouling Any fouling of the private hire vehicle by any passenger will result in a cleaning charge of a minimum of £30.00, depending on the severity of the incident.

Change in Pickup Time If you need to change your pickup time less than 12 hours before the scheduled pickup, you must do so by phone. We reserve the right to reject the change or cancel the booking without a refund. While we do our best to accommodate last-minute changes, our drivers are often assigned pre-booked, connected jobs, making it impossible to entertain all requests.

Reimbursements Passengers are responsible for allowing enough time when booking to account for check-in and traffic. Golden Aura Cars is not liable for late arrivals at your destination due to you failing to book on time. You are also responsible for booking a vehicle large enough for all passengers and their luggage. All children, regardless of age, are considered one passenger.

If a pre-booked taxi arrives more than 40 minutes late and you miss onward transport, such as a flight, train, or cruise ship, we will only refund the fare owed on the scheduled route. We are not obligated to reimburse you for the cost of flights or other expenses.

Refunds A 100% refund is granted if you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the pick-up time. All refunds will be processed within 14-28 working days.

Social Features Golden Aura Cars may offer social features, such as the opportunity to contact, rate, and review the driver. Any use of such features must adhere to our rules of acceptable use.

All feedback must be respectful and must not contain any offensive or abusive language. We reserve the right to pass on information about anyone suspected of racial abuse to the authorities.

Third-Party Goods and Services Our website may offer services from third parties. We cannot guarantee the quality or accuracy of any goods and services made available by third parties on our website.

Consumer Protection Law Where the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Sale of Goods Act 1979, or any other consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be excluded, these Terms will not limit your legal rights and remedies under that legislation. These Terms will be read subject to the mandatory provisions of that legislation. If there is a conflict between these Terms and that legislation, the mandatory provisions of the legislation will apply.

Limitation of Liability Golden Aura Cars and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses, including legal fees, arising from your use of the website or any related apps.

Indemnity By using this website, you indemnify and hold harmless Golden Aura Cars and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of our website and apps or your violation of these Terms.

Applicable Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England.

Severability If any of these provisions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these Terms. All other provisions will remain unaffected and will still be considered valid.

Changes These Terms may be amended from time to time to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate. We will notify users by email or by posting a notice on our website of any changes to these Terms.
